Mentoring is an art which has developed over the ages since time immemorial. The basic fault or mistake that many coaches or trainers or teachers or institutions do is to categorize every individual/trainee/student into the same learning category and giving each of them the same level of training. They forget that every individual/student has a different level of understanding and mental development which depends on a number of factors ranging from his/her past educational background, social and economic background, and his/her interests/aptitudes. Without a sound understanding of these phenomenon, if we go about training the student, the programme is most likely to underperform it’s objectives.
Hence, Ethmos has introduced the concept of mentoring levels. Mentoring levels are the levels which decide at what level the training of the student should be started. Suppose if a student is well versed with the basics or fundamentals of a course, then he need not waste his/her time and energy repeating it all over again in the programme. S/he can easily skip the same and proceed to study advanced levels of which s/he would like to train for. The mentoring levels of Ethmos are divided into three parts:-
ML-0 :- Mentoring Level 0 – Mentoring and training right from the basics of the basics and foundation of even the fundamentals, going right up to the advanced level. Ideal for students and parents who consider that they or their ward is weak in the basics or fundamentals. This is our FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME known as the PRARAMBH.
ML-1 :- Mentoring Level 1 – Mentoring and training for students whose fundamentals and basics are clear and require further training.
ML-2:- Mentoring Level 2 – Mentoring and training for students who are pretty clear with the fundamentals and on an average can solve age-appropriate questions. Age-appropriate questions are the one which are supposed to be given at end of each chapter of their respective class textbooks.
ML-3:- Mentoring Level 3 – Mentoring and training for students who are totally clear with all concepts and can solve questions/problems which are at least 2 to 3 years above their age-appropriate level, i.e. a student capable of solving questions of class X while in class VIII. Such students require guidance for toning up their preparation strategy and removing the chinks in their armour of preparation.
We have introduced the concept of mentoring levels in all our programmes and hence the programmes are priced depending upon the level and requirement of the student rather than putting up all students in the same category.
